Howard, you forgot about all the cheese...and he's gonna have to wear one of those funky cheese-wedge hats too...

Looks like I'll have to do some "research" on beer and cheese. And next
video I do I'll have to be a goof with the cheese wedge hat on at least once :)

Thanks everyone for all the encouragement.

Good Luck to you John! You have a lot of years left in the Lutherie business and this opportunity will only help add to your rapidly filling well of knowledge. Please do keep us in the loop. I am sure you won't be permitted to share all of the secrets over at McPherson, but a few would be nice! . It will be interesting to hear what you find similiar and what you find different to time with Dana B.

All the best John

Shane

Enjoy Sparta and give them my regards. I built prototypes for them from
'96-'99 when I was working at Bryan's and before the shop in Sparta was set
up. I never kept track of how many, but it had to be in the range of a
hundred. They have changed a great deal since I worked with them, but I
have still played at least seven or eight of the newer ones and they have
come a long way. Very nice guitars, and it is certainly a very advanced shop.

I hope everything works well for you. When are you planning to move?

Congrats John,

Looks to me like McPherson Guitars are really quite serious about increasing market share by building on an already fine reputation and striving to deliver a market best product. And they are steering in the right direction to do just that by sourcing out the most skilled and innovative people to help guide them on their way.

Well done, you deserve the recognition

Cheers

Kim

Good for you John and congratulations!

Greeat companies are made up of great people. McPherson obviously recognized not only your extensive work experience, but your creativity and passion. (and if they saw your videos they also saw a sense of humble confidence and humor). You would be a great addition to any company and you will no doubt make a significant contribution to the McPherson team.

Good luck to you and your family on this new journey.

John, good for you!
As nice as this arrangement will be for you, I still think that McPherson is getting the better part of the deal!
There are so many fine builders up there, I know you'll be inspired. Go meet Bruce Petros and tour his shop. He's one of the cleverest people I've ever met. And, he doesn't live far from where the Packers play.

John, congratulations! It sounds like a really exciting opportunity and a new chapter for you and your family.

I am glad you will continue to build on your own...economics forces many to join another shop or choose another vocation but not continuing to build is the thing that would be difficult.

Best wishes in this new endeavor.

Cool. Welcome to da mudder-land! When do you move?

Contrary to Paul's statement, we in Milwaukee are very picky about our beer. We only drink the wet kind and only when it's in front of us.

Good luck John, as a fellow Oklahoman it's too bad you have to leave, but I'm sure WI will be great.

Congratulations, John!

While I have to echo Arnt's discouraged sentiment, this sounds like a very positive move for you and your family, so I'm very happy for you.

I look forward to seeing what you build in your own shop after this!

John,

I'll be in Tulsa area the third week of March and hope to visit with you.
Will you still be in the area then? If not, I'll be sorry to have missed you
since we weren;t able to get together last time we were there.

My church is sending me and my wife for a three day conference for a
weekend. They do it every two years for us to train in a few things.

Let me know and congrats!
